Endorsements

What my endorsements mean to me:

Albany County Green Party

The endorsement of the Green Party means a lot to me because it is an endorsement of my progressive values. While the Green Party is a third party in New York State, as an organization they repeatedly focus on issues of great importance. Some of these include: the preservation of the Pine Bush, increasing recycling and composting programs, converting the city to renewable forms of energy, increasing transparency in government, and a belief in grassroots democracy. The Green Party operates under a platform of the "10 Key Values". I believe that these values can help create a positive impact on our City, and am looking forward to being able to work with the Green Party on these issues.

Working Families Party

Working Families Party of New York website

I sought the WFP's endorsement because of my respect for them as a progressive party that sticks to its roots and consistently argues for issues that are near to my heart. They are also a party of integrity, the WFP goes out of its way to ensure that only progressive candidates get their nod and try to protect their line from getting co-opted which would dilute the potency of their message.

I respect their ability to organize on multiple levels, I respect their use of influence to further a progressive agenda, and I respect their guts for standing up to strong opposition in order to achieve progressive goals.

Citizen Action

Citizen Action of New York website

I am honored to receive Citizen Action's endorsement because they are a grassroots organization that fights for a well funded public education, campaign finance reform, and fight for important environmental justice issues. CA brings years of community organizing to the table and I am eager to work with them.
